Five Years of Saltamontes

Five years ago, Saltamontes began as an idea — a space where music, art, food, and people could exist without pretence. Today, it stands as one of the most loved hubs for live music in Anjuna, built not just on events, but on community.

From the early days of intimate gigs to packed nights of live music in North Goa, the stage has carried countless stories. Bands have found new audiences. Strangers have become regulars. Monday rock nights turned into rituals, and Sunday brunches into traditions.

But Saltamontes was never only about the music.

It grew into one of the most welcoming garden cafés in Anjuna, where mornings begin with espresso and laptops, and afternoons melt into long conversations. A space embraced by creatives, remote workers, and travellers looking for more than just another stop — a true part of the evolving artist community Goa is known for.

Over the years, it has been a dancefloor, a studio, a meeting point, and for many, a second home. From karaoke confessions to anniversary celebrations, from quiet painting sessions to electric Saturday nights, every corner holds a memory.

Five years is more than a milestone. It’s proof of what happens when people show up — for music, for art, for each other.

And if the first five were about building the vibe, the next five are about taking it even further.
